Edible Oasis on Garden St
You can fit a lot of scrumptious food and herb into a small residential block. This property was 615m2 with a large home taking up most of the land.
A double Herb spiral edged with rocks and a central pond featured 20 culinary and medicinal herbs.
The outdoor shower screen by Budda belly bamboo and jasmine vine also acted as a trellis for a Luffa vine, growing the sponges used to bathe with! The water drained into the banana circle which also provided privacy for the gazebo from the neighbour deck.
A chicken coop and raised kitchen garden produced the annual vegetables and eggs.
Other elements include a Strawberry patch and perennial fruiting trees planted in between various existing natives and palms.
