Rocket Stove Pizza Oven with in-built Table
Learn the art and science of 'rocket stove' technology for heat generation. Get skilled in the processes of making cob pizza ovens and the earth bag technique of building. This is a theory and practical hands on workshop, which will give you the experience of building a 'rocket' powered pizza oven with attached table, and a manual to do it all again at home in within your community!

Earthbag Water Tank
Water storage is essential for self-sufficiency. Join us to learn the how to build one onsite, with minimal cost and resources. This workshop teaches the construction processes of building an earth bag tank with ferrocement roof for catching water for storage within.

Earth Bag Constructed Compost Toilet (wheelie bin) – No Water System
Ever heard of 'Humanure'? Come along to learn all about composting toilets and using human manure safely for orchard fertility. Learn how to construct a compost toilet using the earthbag building technique to construct the foundations. Together, we will integrate recycled shipping pallets for the ‘room with a view’ and use a wheelie bin system of composting humanure, as an easy way to recycle your waste into a resource. Be part of a team, learning the theory and practical skills for building the 'throne' that needs no water to work efficiently!

Rocket Stove Outdoor Shower to Banana Circle
May 2016 (not school holidays) Friday 27th to Monday 30th
Learn how to make a stand-alone hot water system based on the simple, low cost, yet effective 'rocket' power system. This technology uses minimal wood as fuel to burn and generate heat for fast heating and in this instance, we will integrate cob and Earthbag construction methods to build system for an outdoor shower and separate Earthbag bath (for star gazing) that will drain into a banana circle growing other tropical plants.
The theory and practical skills, along with the D.I.Y manual you will receive is certainly going to assist anyone interested in building their own heat generating system at home.
